Richtlinie zur fairen Nutzung
1. Introduction
This Fair Usage Policy (“FUP”) applies to all Unlimited Data Plans offered by Redeemso International B.V. (“Redeemso”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The purpose of this FUP is to ensure consistent network performance and a fair distribution of resources among all users. By purchasing or using an Unlimited Data Plan, you agree to comply with this Policy.
2. Scope and Applicability
This Policy applies to all Users purchasing Unlimited Data Plans via the Redeemso platform or through its affiliates (within the Redeemso group) and authorized partners. Unlimited Data Plans are offered subject to this Fair Usage Policy, and the term “Unlimited” shall be interpreted strictly as access to data services within the framework of fair usage and traffic management as described herein.
Users acknowledge and agree that “Unlimited” does not imply unrestricted high-speed data usage at all times, and that data speeds may be managed, reduced, or otherwise adjusted in accordance with this Policy, whereby no rights, expectations, or entitlements may be derived from the use of the term beyond those expressly set out herein.
Users further acknowledge that the application of Fair Usage Policies, including traffic management measures, speed adjustments, and usage-based performance limitations, is a common and widely adopted practice within the telecommunications industry and does not constitute a deviation from standard market practices.
Users acknowledge that Redeemso does not own, control, or operate any mobile network infrastructure and relies on third-party providers, including network operators, aggregators, and upstream service partners, for the provision of connectivity services. Such third parties may independently determine and modify traffic management policies, speed thresholds, and other technical or operational parameters at their sole discretion, without prior notice and without Redeemso exercising direct control over such decisions.
Accordingly, Redeemso shall not be held responsible or liable for any changes, variations, or limitations in network performance, including speed reductions, latency variations, or service degradation, where such changes result from actions taken by third-party providers.
This FUP operates as a standalone policy and is incorporated by reference into the Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
3. Definition of Unlimited Data
Unlimited Data Plans provide Users with access to mobile data services during the applicable validity period without a fixed data cut-off. In order to maintain network quality, stability, and fair usage among all users, Redeemso and its underlying network providers may apply traffic management measures, including but not limited to speed adjustments based on usage levels. Such measures do not result in additional charges and do not terminate access to data services, but may affect connection speeds and overall performance.
4. Traffic Management
4.1. General Principles
To ensure fair usage, the following principles apply:
- • Data is initially provided at the maximum available speed;
- • After a certain volume of usage, data speeds may be reduced;
- • Further reductions may occur in cases of sustained or high-volume usage.
4.2. Indicative Usage Thresholds
The following thresholds represent the current configuration of Unlimited Data Plans and are subject to change at any time:
7-Day Plans
- • Up to approximately 30 GB usage within the validity period;
- • First approximately 500 MB at maximum speed;
- • Thereafter reduced to approximately 5 Mbps;
- • Further reduced to approximately 512 Kbps after high usage levels.
15-Day Plans
- • Up to approximately 45 GB usage within the validity period;
- • First approximately 500 MB at maximum speed;
- • Thereafter reduced to approximately 5 Mbps;
- • Further reduced to approximately 512 Kbps after high usage levels.
30-Day Plans
- • Up to approximately 70 GB usage within the validity period;
- • First approximately 500 MB at maximum speed;
- • Thereafter reduced to approximately 5 Mbps;
- • Further reduced to approximately 512 Kbps after high usage levels.
All thresholds are indicative and may be modified without prior notice.
Actual performance depends on network conditions, location, and device compatibility.
5. Activation and Validity
Users may install their eSIM at any time. The validity period of a data plan begins only upon first use, defined as the moment the eSIM connects to a supported network and initiates data usage. The validity period does not start at the time of purchase or installation.
6. Network Availability and Performance
Service performance may vary depending on local network coverage, network congestion, partner operator policies, geographic location, and environmental factors. Connectivity may be provided through multiple network operators, and network selection may occur automatically without user control, which may impact performance and availability. The service is intended for general mobile data usage and does not guarantee performance for specific applications, including but not limited to high-definition streaming, online gaming, or business-critical use. Network performance characteristics, including but not limited to latency, jitter, and throughput, are not guaranteed and may vary.
7. Acceptable Use
Unlimited Data Plans are intended solely for reasonable personal use and not for commercial or excessive usage.
The following activities may be considered excessive or abusive:
- • Continuous or disproportionate high-volume usage;
- • Use as a substitute for fixed broadband services;
- • Automated or machine-generated data traffic.
Redeemso reserves the right to apply additional traffic management measures or restrict service in cases of suspected misuse. Use of the service for tethering or hotspot purposes may be subject to additional limitations or reduced performance as part of traffic management measures.
8. eSIM Lifecycle
The eSIM provided to Users does not expire after a data plan ends and may be reused for future purchases. If an eSIM profile is deleted from a device, it cannot be reinstalled. A replacement eSIM may be issued.
9. Changes to This Policy
Redeemso reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time. The latest version will be published on the platform. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
10. No Entitlement to Additional Data, Compensation or Credits
Users acknowledge and agree that Unlimited Data Plans are subject to traffic management measures as described in this Policy. The application of such measures, including but not limited to speed reductions, shall not be considered a failure to provide the service as described.
Accordingly:
- • Users shall not be entitled to any additional data allowances, compensation, refunds, or service credits as a result of:
- • Speed reductions;
- • Reaching indicative usage thresholds;
- • Network performance variations;
- • Traffic management measures applied in accordance with this Policy.
- • Unlimited Data Plans do not guarantee uninterrupted high-speed connectivity or performance at maximum available speeds throughout the validity period.
- • No unused or reduced-speed data usage shall be converted into monetary value, credits, or future entitlements.
11. Service Availability
Users acknowledge that the availability and performance of mobile data services may be subject to temporary interruptions, delays, degradation, or complete unavailability. Such limitations may result from, among other factors, network congestion, maintenance, technical issues, geographic limitations, or restrictions imposed by third-party providers, including network operators and upstream service partners. Users further acknowledge that mobile network coverage is not guaranteed in all locations and that certain geographic areas may have limited or no connectivity, including but not limited to remote or sparsely populated regions, underground locations, rural areas, or areas with limited infrastructure. This includes, for illustrative purposes only, locations such as remote natural environments (e.g., the Amazon rainforest), high-altitude regions (e.g., Mount Everest), deserts, open sea, or other areas where it would reasonably be expected that telecommunications infrastructure is limited or unavailable. Redeemso does not guarantee uninterrupted service, continuous availability, or coverage in all locations, and shall not be held liable for any lack of connectivity or reduced performance resulting from such limitations.
